Elias, also known as The Pale Man, summons Lilith back to the Sanctuary by using a gruesome blood ritual. The mysterious priest will become Lilith’s right hand in the game. He is a cunning and cold-blooded character with no compassion for humans, ardent in his resolve that Lilith, as the mother of all evil, will be the one to restore Sanctuary to its previous glory.

Elias is a formidable enemy in the game, as he can summon demons that protect him during combat. Although his intentions are not fully revealed until the player engages with him, in Diablo 4, we see Elias accompany Lilith on her deadly course across the Dry Steppes and over to Nevesk, where she corrupts a church of villagers.

Anthony Howell, the mystical and imposing voice behind Elias, is an English actor with a long history of video game voice acting. He is known for his iconic performances as Margitt and Morgott in Elden Ring, the Puppeteer in Demon’s Souls, and his notable appearances in World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy.

As a stoic warrior of the Horadrim, a once honourable class of warrior mages, Lorath serves justice faithfully even through the darkest times. Adept in martial weapons from his time serving in the Westmarch city guard and well-versed in magic, Lorath appears in Diablo 4 as an NPC, temporary follower, and one of the last keepers of the Horadrim’s great dark knowledge.

Ralph Ineson, the voice actor of Lorath Nahr in Diablo 4, is a well-known English actor with roles in several games, films, and TV shows. He voiced the notorious Charles Vane in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, portrayed Pyke’s master-at-arms Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game of Thrones, and appeared in The Green Knight, the Northman, and more recent award-winning titles. Ralph Ineson is easily recognisable by his deep, rumbling, Yorkshire-accented voice standing out amongst the stellar cast of Diablo 4 voice actors.

Lilith (Caroline Faber)

  • Demon

In Diablo 4, the Temple of the Triune summons Sanctuary’s ancient creator, Lilith, back into her corporeal demonic form—a perilous decision that will change the fate of every angel and demon in existence.

The mother of all evil returns to restore the Sanctuary to its initial glory, spreading her darkness and laying claim upon creation in one of the most formidable first in-game appearances in Diablo’s history.

Lilith is the daughter of Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, and the main antagonist players will have to face in Diablo 4. Also known as the relentless Queen of the Succubi, Lilith is a manipulative, powerful demon caught in the endless war between the Burning Hells and High Heavens, seeking to restore the realm between the two that would provide sanctuary from the endless conflict. Her union with the archangel Inarius once led to the Nephalem, the half-angel, half-demon race inhabiting Sanctuary, but as she stands against her angelic consort in Diablo 4, only one thing is certain… all hell is about to break loose once more.

The voice actor for Lilith in Diablo 4 is Caroline Faber, known for her TV series roles in Merlin and Eastenders. She delivers a compelling performance, carrying Lilith’s immense power in her voice with disciplined precision and a mystical, unworldly, and almost primeval quality.

Inarius (Gabe Kunda)

  • Inarius
  • Archangel

A key character in Diablo lore, the fallen angel Inarius led the forces of the High Heavens against the Prime Evils Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal before being captured and tortured for millennia by the Lords of Hell.

With Diablo 4 bringing the archangel’s demonic bride Lilith back to Sanctuary, we are about to see Inarius on screen for the first time – although it is still not revealed whether he will be a foe or ally. Current speculations predict a raging feud between Inarius and Lilith that could become one of the key plot points in Diablo 4, giving players the chance to fight in one of the most epic battles in Diablo history.

The voice actor for the fallen angel Inarius is Gabe Kunda, an American actor who has voiced over 50 characters in anime (English versions) and TV series, with notable appearances as Macaron in Hi-Fi Rush, Owethu ‘Jackal’ in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and KAY in Valorant.

The Barbarian Class will be the best choice for players interested in dealing the most physical damage in the game. This class is suitable for straightforward offensive and defensive gameplays, giving players the opportunity to equip four legendary weapons – such as the Hammer of the Ancients – at the same time and swap easily one weapon for another. Although the Barbarian build heavily relies on equipment, players will be able to combine different skills and aspects to create a powerful character that deals the most physical damage in the game, reinforced on the battlefield through barbaric cries that enable you to stun enemies and improve your health.

The voice actor for the Female Barbarian in Diablo 4 is Laila Berzins, an American actress known for her appearances as Demeter and Persephone in the video game Hades (2018) and Genshin impact (2020). The voice actor for the Male Barbarian in Diablo 4 is Ray Chase who has made numerous appearances in RPGs, starting with Noctis in Final Fantasy XV (2016), Master of Masters in Kingdom Hearts III (2019), and more.

  • Male Necromancer

The legendary summoners known as Necromancers are by far the most popular class in Diablo, thanks to their ability to command undead armies in the game. The Necromancer’s biggest advantage is resurrecting corpses to fight with them during battle, often created from the remains of their fallen enemies. Although this class does not come with as much build variety as other classes, each build completely changes how the Necromancer plays, creating a solo or hybrid playstyle between minions and spells.

The voice actors bringing the Necromancer to life in Diablo 4 are actress, singer, and songwriter Elle Newlands (Star Trek Into Darkness, Darksiders II) and Jesse Burch (Fallout: New Vegas, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, and Call of Duty: WWII).

Devoted fans of the franchise will remember the Rogue class from its archetype in Diablo 1. The voice actors behind the male and female Rogue characters in Diablo 4 are Anna Koval (Demon Souls, Word of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Carnival Row) and Andres Williams (Elden Ring, The Forgotten City, Watch Dogs: Legion, and more).

Although heavily relying on mana, the Sorcerer can rip through enemies with lightning speed, posing an advantageous ally in every battle. Although their ability to annihilate massive waves of enemies comes at a significant cost (the Sorcerer has the lowest amount of health compared to the other classes), the ranged and elemental attacks of this class promise a highly enjoyable combat experience.

Heart stopperThe Diablo 4 voice actors for the Sorceress and Sorcerer are Maya Saroya (Casualty, Call the Midwife, Howard’s End) and Joseph Balderrama (It Takes Two, Heartstopper, Horizon Forbidden West).

Their daughter, Leah, later becomes Diablo’s host and meets a tragic end in the main events of Diablo 3.

Alyson Reed has brought Adria to life in Diablo 3, giving the former witch a smooth, low, and often chilling timbre. The American dancer and actress has taken part in multiple video game titles, including her role as Cyanna Nightglaive in World of Warcraft: Legion, Judith in Where the Wild Things Are, Deione in Guild Wars 2, and Kassia in Battlestar Galactica.

Leah’s tragic character represents humanity’s innocence and ultimate fate in Diablo 3. She is Adria’s daughter from her union with the Dark Wanderer, Diablo’s vessel. She is also mage Cain’s apprentice and later becomes a key ally of the Nephalem cause to defeat The Prime Evil – until she’s ultimately possessed and killed by her own creator, Diablo.

As the Diablo franchise has showcased before, demons and angels are extremely hard to kill, so Leah, being half prime demon, is expected to return in the Diablo storyline despite her untimely death.

Canadian-American voice actress and singer Jennifer Hale has a rich history of voice acting in video games. Like other Diablo 4 voice actors, she has been a part of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight through her roles as Merithra of the Dream and Lyessa Bloomwatcher. She also voiced Ashe, the respected figure in the criminal underworld in Overwatch, Rosa in Bayonetta 3, and Rosalind Lutece in BioShock Infinite.

Imperius (Rick D Wasserman)

Imperius (Rick D Wasserman)

  • Imperius
  • Archangel

Imperius is the Archangel of Valor, striving to keep the High Heavens pure in a world ridden by shadows and darkness. He is a key warrior in the Eternal Conflict present in all major battles, including the final confrontation of all Prime Evil in Diablo 3.

The developers of Diablo 4 have discussed that the original plan for Imperius was to turn him into a conflicted archangel with a heart tempted by corruption. His initial fate to embrace his wrath and even follow a demonic storyline hints at the character’s ambiguous moral code. Fans expect to see the character eventually return to rise against Lilith and Inarius, or even the game’s players themselves.

The voice actor behind Imperius in Diablo 3 is Rick D. Wasserman, an American actor who has made minor appearances in the Last of Us franchise, voiced Arishok in Dragon Age II, Sargeras in Hearthstone, the Scorch Titan in Titanfall 2, and many other characters in comic films and video games such as Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: The Killing Joke (2016).

Voice acting veteran Steve Blum has credits in Diablo 3, Diablo Immortal, the Callisto Protocol, Lost Judgement: The Kaito Files, Mass Effect, Legendary Edition, and many more. He appeared as Spike Spiegel in the dub cast of Cowboy Bebop (1998) and often lends his deep-rasping voice to iconic comic book characters such as Wolverine (X-Men Legends (2004) in video games and television. Rendered into a malevolent and tormented existence, Leoric fathered Prince Aidan who later became the vessel of Diablo’s essence. King Leoric’s role in the game’s lore is essential as the main events of Diablo 3 and Leah’s storyline wouldn’t have been possible without his tragic tale.

American voice actor Joe Thomas lends his voice to King Leoric in Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and Diablo Immortal. In the past, he’s worked on other Blizzard titles, such as Hearthstone, World of Warcraft: Legion, and Heroes of the Storm.
