Hotel Transylvania 4 Voice Actors

Rejoin the monster mash and discover the Hotel Transylvania 4 voice actors.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is the fourth film in the franchise that brings back the classic cast for a final adventure. This 3D computer-animated comedy features monsters from the most famous stories, who run a hotel together. Although, this newest instalment adds a funny twist: The monsters are turned human and the humans become monsters!

The directors are Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska, and the screenplay was written by the series veteran, Genndy Tartakovsky, Nunzio Randazzo, and Amos Vernon.

There are some changes in the cast and many familiar voices, so let’s look at the characters of the film and the Hotel Transylvania 4 voice actors.

Dracula (Brian Hull)

Dracula (Brian Hull)

Dracula, also known as “Drac,” is the main character of the soon-to-be-released animated film Hotel Transylvania. He owns the hotel and acts as an overseer of all the events in Hotel Transylvania.

Drac is Vlad Dracula’s son, Martha’s husband and widower, Mavis’s father, Dennis’s grandfather, and Johnathan’s father-in-law. It’s all one big family!

After Martha passes away, Dracula remains single for more than a century until he meets Ericka Van Helsing. They meet in the third film under contentious circumstances.

Brian Hull, who voices the fatherly vampire, is an impressionist, a voice actor, and a popular YouTuber with more than 361 million views and 2.3 million subscribers. Voicing Dracula, he replaced the actor Adam Sandler, who gave Dracula his voice in the first three parts of the Hotel Transylvania franchise.

Mavis (Selena Gomez)

Mavis (Selena Gomez)

Mavis is one of the two main heroes of Hotel Transylvania. She is the daughter of Martha and Count Dracula and is a vampire herself. In the first part of the sequel, she meets Johnny when she is 118 years old.

In the second part, she becomes the mother of Dennis, and by the third part, she becomes a hardworking member of the hotel where she resides with her family. In the third part, she has 126 years, which implies that 8 years have passed between the first and third part.

Selena Gomez, an American actress, songwriter, producer, and singer, voices Mavis. Gomez received numerous nominations and awards for her acting and music throughout her career, and in 2017, she was named the “Woman of the Year.”

Johnny (Andy Samberg)

Johnatan Loughran, who goes by the nickname “Johnny,” is the Mavis’ love interest. He is a 21-year-old human who stumbles upon Hotel Transylvania, which is full of monsters. His parents are Linda and Mike.

Johnny is a crucial character as he becomes a member of Dracula’s family by marrying Mavis Dracula. Mavis gets pregnant after a year, and she and Johnny become Dennis Loughran’s parents. They raised the child for five years together.

Andy Samberg, who voices Johnny, is an American actor, musician, comedian, and producer. He is famous for being a cast member of SNL (Saturday Night Live) and the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

Frankenstein (Kevin James)

Frankenstein is Dracula’s best friend and one of Hotel Transylvania’s main characters. He is Mavis’ favorite uncle, and he is a plump working man with a heart bigger than his oversized appearance.

Frankenstein loves his family, Mavis, and Drac, and is married to Eunice. When he arrives at Mavis’ 118th birthday party, he is stunned. Most of his surprise is directed towards his supposed cousin he never met, which is actually Johnatan, a human disguised as a monster.

Kevin James, the voice of Frankenstein, is an American comedian, actor, producer, and screenwriter. His initial claim to fame was his role in The King of Queens, an American sitcom in which he starred as Doug Hefferman.

Wayne (Steve Buscemi)

Wayne Werewolf is one of Hotel Transylvania’s main characters. As the name suggests, he is a werewolf, Wanda Werewolf’s husband, and father of Winnie, Sunny, and many other pups. He appears in all parts of the Hotel Transylvania sequel.

Steve Buscemi, the voice actor for Wayne Werewolf in Hotel Transylvania 4, is an American actor best known for his role in Reservoir Dogs, a movie by Quentin Tarantino from 1992. He’s been the voice of Wayne Werewolf since 2012.

Voicing Wayne in all parts of the sequel, Steve Buscemi is a recurring voice actor of Hotel Transylvania. Besides the Hotel Transylvania franchise, Buscemi also voiced Randall Boggs in the entire Monsters, Inc. franchise.

Griffin (David Spade)

Griffin is an invisible character in Hotel Transylvania, a man whose only visible part is his glasses. He is a funny character, Dracula’s friend, and one of many guests of the hotel who appear on Mavis’ 118th birthday.

He is a character who drives the car to help Dracula travel to Jonathan and always uses his invisibility to aid him in fights. Griffin also uses his invisibility to startle and surprise people. He often forgets that he is invisible, though, and expects people to guess the color of his hair.

David Spade, an American stand-up comedian, writer, television host, and actor, voices Griffin. He was a member of SNL’s cast, after which he pursued his career as an actor. As the voice of Griffin, he’s been there from 2012 to the present day, making him a part of all the movie’s editions.

Murray (Keegan-Michael Key)

Murray (Keegan-Michael Key)

  • Brash

Murray the Mummy is a bandaged character with a huge heart. Since he is a mummy, he leaves mountains of sand at the hotel’s entrance upon every visit. He is a comical, loving, fun, good-natured, and friendly mummy who enjoys parties.

Murray spent most of his life in an Egyptian tomb. That explains why he is always keen on partying whenever he visits Hotel Transylvania. He always tries to avoid confronting others and uses his humor to avoid any awkward situations at all costs.

Keegan-Michael Key is the Hotel Transylvania 4 voice actor for Murray. While the role was previously helmed by singer CeeLo Green, this latest entry has made a change.

Keegan-Michael Key is one half of the beloved American comedy duo, Key and Peele. While this is what he is best known for, he has started to branch out into voice acting, with roles like Ducky in Pixar’s Toy Story 4 and the Fourth Dimensional Being in Rick and Morty. He has a distinct voice, perfect for animated characters.

CeeLo Green, the voice actor of Murray, is an American rapper, songwriter, businessman, and producer. He is best known for his R&B, hip hop, neo-soul, funk, and gospel work. Since 2012, Hotel Transylvania’s first release, he’s been giving Murray the Mummy his unique voice.

Ericka (Kathryn Hahn)

Ericka (Kathryn Hahn)
Ericka (Kathryn Hahn)
  • Ericka Van Helsing
  • Unusual

Ericka Van Helsing is the descendant of the famous monster slayer, Abraham Van Helsing; the fabled nemesis of Dracula. So naturally, it’s hard to see her getting along with ol’ Drac.

However, despite a rocky start, where Ericka tried to kill Drac and all other monsters, she has changed her ways. She has now learned that killing monsters is wrong and has even fallen in love with Drac. She returns in the fourth instalment, this time on the side of the monsters.

Kathryn Hahn was the actor for Ericka in the previous film and she also returns as a Hotel Transylvania 4 voice actor too.

Hahn has acted in a variety of well-known roles, mostly comedy-related. More recently, she has become a more prominent performer, as she has a pivotal role in Marvel’s Wandavision and Sony Picture’s Into the Spiderverse.

Eunice (Fran Drescher)

Eunice (Fran Drescher)

  • Eunice Stein
  • Bossy

Eunice Stein is Frankenstein’s wife and a character that appears in all parts of the sequel. Her eyes are yellow, her skin color is blue, and the wig she wears, which has a distinctly 60’s puffy look, is black and white. She wears makeup, a purple turtleneck, a purple skirt, and pink shoes with heels.

Eunice can sometimes be very annoying since she likes to boss everybody around. However, she can also be very caring. For example, when Mavis decided to go out and visit a human village, she showed a lot of concern.

If Frank is a character with a lack of forcefulness, Eunice surely has an abundance of it. She is usually bold, critical, and has an “in your face” attitude. Despite all these characteristics, she is a loving woman devoted to her family deep down underneath.

Fran Drescher, Eunice’s voice actor, is an American comedian, writer, activist, and actress. She is best known for her role as Fran Fine in The Nanny. Like Steve Buschemi, Fran has been a voice actor for Hotel Transylvania ever since 2012.

Wanda (Molly Shannon)

Wanda (Molly Shannon)

Wanda Werewolf, who also goes by Aunt Wanda, is Wayne’s wife and a werewolf just like him. She is the mother of Sunny, Winnie, and many other pups. In the first part of Hotel Transylvania, she has a major role in the story, while she’s just a minor character in Hotel Transylvania 2.

In the third part of the sequel, she’s a supporting character. She always appears as a pregnant werewolf and, as opposed to Wayne, gives little effort to control her children’s behavior. The only thing she controls is the pups’ sugar intake.

Molly Shannon, Wanda’s voice actor, is an American actress most famous for being a cast member of SNL (Saturday Night Live) from 1995 to 2001. She has been the voice actor for the Hotel Transylvania sequel from 2012 to the present day, making her part of all editions of the film.
