Hades Voice Actors

Break out and defy the God of the Underworld, helped and hindered by outstanding characters; discover the Hades voice actors.

Hack n’ Slash your way out of the land of the dead as you defy the God of the Underworld himself, Hades. Play as Zagreus in this Rogue-like dungeon crawler and die again, again, and again. Hone your skills and make the perfect run – escape the Underworld and decide your own destiny; although it won’t be easy…

Hades is a multi-award winning video game from the indie darling studio, Supergiant Games. There are few games that reach the heights of popularity that Hades has accomplished, so there is no better time to jump into the shoes of Zag and discover the litany of characters who reside in the House of Hades.

But first… Check out the Hades voice actors that made this game into an Indie powerhouse.

Zagreus (Darren Korb)

Zagreus (Darren Korb)
Zagreus (Darren Korb)

The Protagonist of the game and Prince of the Underworld. Zagreus has always felt like he doesn’t belong in the underworld, so despite his father’s, Hades’, wishes, he decides to escape. No matter the cost, or how long it will take, Zag will escape.

These escapes form the gameplay of Hades as players take control of the young prince and try to get out of the Underworld. Navigating the enemies, obstacles, and bosses of that will stand in Zagreus’ way is the primary goal. Don’t get me wrong, Zagreus will die. A lot. But practice makes perfect.

Zagreus is a rebel, through and through, he acts in opposition of the authority placed on his life, no matter the cost. He is a lovable rogue, with a humorous demeanour, good wit, and a kindness despite his proficiency as a fighter. Zag’s dedication to his mission is at the core of what drives him to try and try again, as no death or opponent shall cause him to waver.

He has an easy time making friends, with many of the characters in the game having a natural affinity toward the prince, especially Megaera, Thanatos, and Dusa – each with romance subplots. His rebel nature persists as he is known for pranking, making fun, and acting rashly.

Darren Korb is the Hades voice actor for Zagreus, providing the character with his signature personality. Korb breathes a charming wit to Zag, never missing a beat and always straddling the line between order and chaos – which can be heard in the mischievous voice given to Zag. Darren is responsible for various characters in Hades, but his talents only begin with his voice.

Holding mastery over speech and sound, Darren Korb is a mainstay at the studio Supergiant Games – Hades’ dev team. Korb composes music for the studio’s games – including Hades, Basion, Transistor, and Pyre. A multitalented professional, outside of his work as a Hades voice actor.

Megaera (Avalon Penrose)

Megaera (Avalon Penrose)
Megaera (Avalon Penrose)
  • Megaera
  • Powerful

One of the furies and the first among the bosses the player faces while escaping the underworld. Megaera and her sisters have been tasked by Hades to prevent Zagreus from continuing his quest.

Behind the scenes, Megaera’s relationship with her sisters, the other two furies, is not as amicable as it seems from the onset. While she maintains a working relationship with her sisters, she does not spend personal time with them. Meg spends the majority of her off-duty time in the House of Hades.

It is here that Zagreus, and the player, can interact with Megaera and learn more about her. Zag had a relationship with Meg prior to the game, but this deteriorated before the beginning of the game too – something the player can rekindle if they decide to romance her.

The Hades voice actor for Megaera is Avalon Penrose. Meg is Avalon’s breakout role in voice acting and a character that allowed Avalon to sink her teeth into and add her signature raspy sound into to give life to the character and make her a standout.

Learn more about Avalon Penrose’s role as Megaera in our interview with her here!

Thanatos (Chris Saphire)

Thanatos (Chris Saphire)
Thanatos (Chris Saphire)
  • Thanatos
  • Soft

Thanatos is the personification of death. Quite a title. His personality and temperament is directly opposed to Zagreus’ – holding a much more chilling demeanour, as per his role as the embodiment of death. He often challenges and assists Zag throughout his journey.

As a character, Thanatos shares a special bond with Zagreus. The two were childhood friends and played off of each other in spite of their incredibly different attitudes. Although, Thanatos was upset when he learned that his friend aimed to leave the Underworld for the mortal realm, especially because he finds the mortal world distasteful. However, Thanatos puts this aside to help Zag – which may even lead to romantic possibilities.

The Hades voice actor for Thanatos is Christopher Saphire, another actor with a long history collaborating with Supergiant Games. Saphire has worked on Pyre, Transistor, and now Hades – compounding on his affinity for roles from this studio. He provides Thanatos with speech that elicits a simplicity that strangely fits a man who represents death itself.

Christoper Saphire’s performance doesn’t make Death seem angry or cruel, but rather wistful and thoughtful, a calm man with a surprisingly large range of emotions.

Hades (Logan Cunningham)

Hades (Logan Cunningham)
Hades (Logan Cunningham)

Hades is the God of the Underworld – the custodian of the afterlife – responsible for determining where the dead should go after they arrive and what punishments shalt they receive. Moreover, he is also Zagreus’ father and the central figure standing in his way when trying to escape the Underworld.

Hades is strong, dedicated, and unwavering in his commitment to his Godly duties. His life as such a vital figure has left his relationship with his son distant, as Hades left many of the parental duties to Achilles and Nyx. He is embarrassed and resentful toward Zag’s ambition to escape and will remind him of this whenever he fails an attempt. There is no way to avoid him – Hades is the final guardian stopping Zagreus from getting away.

Logan Cunningham is Hades voice actor in the game, embodying the character with all the vigour and stature demanded by such a God. Logan has a history working with Supergiant Games on previous titles Bastion, Transistor and Pyre.

Logan’s voice is well suited to video game narration – which is self-evident as he has a long history as the narrator across each Supergiant Games’ project.

Nyx (Jamie Landrum)

Nyx (Jamie Landrum)
Nyx (Jamie Landrum)
  • Nyx
  • Caring

Nyx is the personification of Night, living in the House of Hades, she is often referred to as Mother Night – appropriately. Her familial ties run deep, she is a daughter to Chaos – the embodiment of the void – as well as the mother to Hypnos, Thanatos, Eris, and Nemesis. She also acts as a foster mother to Zagreus, treating him as if he is her own kin despite the contentious relationship that she shares with his father, Hades.

It is through her caring mother-like role that the player learns to appreciate Nyx’s place in Zag’s life. Unlike Hades, who will be scornful toward the player when they fail, Nyx will push Zagreus to press on and relent against his struggle.

Jamie Landrum plays Nyx in Hades, offering her voice acting skills in service of Mother Night. She endows the character with the darkness and mystique necessary whilst also retaining the motherly demeanour that is needed when she supports Zag. Jamie has an experience with the Supergiant Games studio and has also voiced The Moon-Touched Girl in Pyre.

Charon (Logan Cunningham)

Charon (Logan Cunningham)
Charon (Logan Cunningham)
  • Charon
  • Quiet

Boatman of the River Styx, the ferryman for the deceased souls as they move through the Underworld. Charon acts as the merchant in the game, selling various powers and items for obols – a service that proves necessary for Zagreus’ journey to escape. This is a fun twist on the ancient Greek mythological belief that Charon must be paid for his ferrying, so a body would be buried with an obol.

The Wells of Charon are run by him and found scattered throughout the Underworld, locations where the player can stop, rest, and purchase a variety of items and buffs to assist them.

Charon is not the friendliest of the Underworld’s denizens, having no close relationships of note. With exception to Hermes, the Olympian God of Swiftness, and messenger of the Gods – he has forged a relationship of some sort with Charon. A difficult task, as even Zagreus cannot get the boatmaster to help ferry him to the mortal world.

While Logan Cunningham is the Hades voice actor for Charon, the role is not one requiring many lines – as Charon communicates through grunts, with varying tones serving the role that speech would.

Chaos (Peter Canavese)

Chaos (Peter Canavese)
Chaos (Peter Canavese)

An embodiment of the primordial void, the nothing from which Nyx and Titans rose from. There is not a great amount of detail to be had on Chaos, other than he is the parent figure to Nyx. The two separated through the natural act of distancing that occurs as one grows up, as a wolf cub may leave the pack.

Peter Canavese voices Chaos, giving the character a mysterious, alluding sound – adding to the enigmatic existence that fits a man who is from the beginning of life.

Alecto (Marin Miller)

Alecto (Marin Miller)
Alecto (Marin Miller)

Alecto is a one of the furies, sister to Megaera and Tisiphone, and titled Tormentor of Passions. As her title implies, Alecto is responsible for punishing those whom, during their mortal days, committed “wrongful acts at the behest of their impulsive passions”.

Needless to say, if you put aside what is right because of what you want then you are likely going to be visiting Alecto when you arrive in the Underworld. She is not a person that is to be tangoed with, as she is the most unpredictable and volatile of the furies – with her relationship with her own fellow furies rocky at best. She is even unwelcome in the House of Hades, which says all that needs saying.

Marin Miller is the Hades voice actor for Alecto, they have a history of predominantly anime and video game acting roles in their portfolio. Notable series that they have served a role in include Dragon Age, Sword Art Online, and Little Witch Academia.

Tisiphone (Marin Miller)

Tisiphone (Marin Miller)
Tisiphone (Marin Miller)
  • Tisiphone
  • Monstrous

The final sister of the furies, she may be last of the sisters in the list but she certainly is not least. Tisiphone is considered to be mostly responsible for the fearsome reputation that the furies conjure. As the Tormentor of Murder, Tisiphone focuses her attention on those who have killed unjustly – in many ways, she is most unlike mortals – which compounds confusion as to why she is so fixated against those who have taken innocent lives.

Marin Miller is also responsible for the voice of Tisiphone, highlighting the likeness of the sisters.

Hypnos (Greg Kasavin)

Hypnos (Greg Kasavin)
Hypnos (Greg Kasavin)
  • Hypnos
  • Annoying

Hypnos is the embodiment of sleep, one of the children of Nyx, and is typically seen watching shades as they arrive in the Underworld, prior to heading off to Hades. As is his namesake, Hypnos is seen sleeping instead of working.

As he watches people as they arrive, he is often around to quip at Zagreus after a failed escape has him return. Alongside this, he also offers mockery and “advice” about the cause of Zag’s death on his last run – rubbing salt in the wound…

Although, at his heart, Hypnos is a lonesome soul and yearns for the opportunity to find a friend. The shades that usually appear from the end of the River Styx don’t make great conversation. So he relishes the chance to chat with Zag and eventually forges a strong friendship with the player character. Similarly, he is infatuated with Megaera and is pleased whenever Zagreus sends her down the river after beating her, so he can spend time with her.

Greg Kasavin is the Hades voice actor for Hypnos, as well as the Creative Director at Supergiant Games. His clear vision for the character and the game shine through as he provides the levity necessary in the House of Hades, after all such a place is so wrought in grimness, a little levity can do wonders.

Zeus (Peter Canavese)

Zeus (Peter Canavese)
Zeus (Peter Canavese)
  • Zeus
  • Godly

King of Olympians and the brother of Hades, Zeus is one of the most powerful Gods in the pantheon and the ruling God of the Sky and Thunder. So, a pretty serious dude.

Although, with all that power, the ability to have anything he wants, it’s easy to envision his perspective being skewed. Which is directly sat in the centre of the schism in his relationship with Hades – the God of the Underworld.

Peter Canavese is the Hades voice actor for Zeus and provides the character with the necessary register that underscores someone who is the King of all Olympian Gods.

Poseidon (Logan Cunningham)

Poseidon (Logan Cunningham)
Poseidon (Logan Cunningham)
  • Poseidon
  • Upbeat

The middle child between his older brother, Hades, and younger, Zeus. He is also the master of the Seas, so he fills a fairly big role in the Pantheon of Gods – he is a powerful entity who can lend his favour to Zagreus if the player does enough fishing activities. Which would make sense.

The influence of Poseidon cannot be felt strongly by the denizens of the House of Hades, as they reside far below the crush of the Earth and Sea. Although, those that travel to the realm of mortals are at his whims. Achilles, a famed warrior from the Trojan wars, carries much animosity for the God of the Sea – as he drowned many of his comrades in his mortal life.

Logan Cunningham also performs as the Hades voice actor for Poseidon – lending his multifaceted skillset to two of the three most powerful Godly brothers.

Athena (Marin Miller)

Athena (Marin Miller)
Athena (Marin Miller)

An Olympian Goddess, renowned for her wisdom and strategy in war – which is reflected in the various defensive boons she offers Zagreus in his journeys. Living on Mount Olympus, she remains one of the revered Gods for warriors seeking fortune in battle. When your spear finds its mark, you will know that you have earned the favour of Athena.

Athena is the coin flip of her brother, the God of War, Ares – she often keeps his lust for death and destruction in check through careful consideration and planning. Her wisdom is sought in many matters, for Olympians, mortals, and Chthonic beings alike.

Marin Miller also provides her excellent voice acting abilities to the role of Athena.

Aphrodite (Courtney Vineys)

Aphrodite (Courtney Vineys)
  • Courtney Vineys
  • @CVineys
Aphrodite (Courtney Vineys)

The Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite wields her physical charms as a powerful tool in war and politics. Her power is understated and a smidgen more subtle than other Gods of Mount Olympus. Where Zeus may smite lightning upon his foes, Hades commands the forces of Hell itself, and Poseidon brings the ocean alive to devour those who wrong him; Aphrodite is responsible for the breaking of hearts. Which may be more deadly than any of the former threats…

Love can bring strength and courage, but it can also destroy the strongest of warriors – making her a force to be reckoned with. This is showcased in the abilities that she lends Zagreus in her boons – as his damage output is magnified. He must first demonstrate his capacity to love through the player forging bonds.

Courtney Vineys is the Hades voice actor for Aphrodite. Her portfolio of previous projects is limited, although she has worked with Supergiant Games in the past, as the character Ti’zo in Pyre. She provides Aphrodite with her voice – which plucks the heartstrings of all who meet her. Although as she is non-romanceable, perhaps you may get first-hand experience in how dangerous her hold over hearts can be.

Artemis (Jamie Landrum)

Artemis (Jamie Landrum)
Artemis (Jamie Landrum)

Artemis is the God of the Hunt and a master of the natural world. She is unconcerned with the love and admiration of the mortals – she is different from other Olympians, lacking in the typical arrogance of the pantheon. Hades himself may even hold some small token of respect for Artemis – despite his resentment for those who live on Olympus.

Jamie Landrum is also the Hades voice actor for Artemis – providing the perfect sound of a mystical hunter.

Ares (Cyrus Nemati)

Ares (Cyrus Nemati)
Ares (Cyrus Nemati)
  • Ares
  • Deep

The God of War… No not That God of War … Ares is a violent, untamed warrior – who neglects the strategy of warfare, held so highly by his sister, in favour of sheer brutality of the battlefield. Ares is not a God well-loved by his enemies or allies – there are few who would speak well of Ares as his bloodthirst.

Although, as this is his crux, it serves to keep the world of mortals subjugated – as they kill each other at his whim to ensure they never reach the power of the Gods. Ares is strongly sought after by mortal men, as they wield his favour as a blade to destroy their enemies.

Ares is voiced by Cyrus Nemati – the Hades voice actor behind the character and a professional with history in various video games – including Pyre, contributing to the theme of returning voices in Supergiant.

Dionysus (Cyrus Nemati)

Dionysus (Cyrus Nemati)
Dionysus (Cyrus Nemati)
  • Dionysus
  • Relaxed

The Olympian God of Wine and Madness – a strange Godhood to hold domain over, although he is beloved by humanity as they turn to him for luxury and comfort – typically in greater quantity than he brings suffering. Well, while they are still mortal that is. While Dionysus is easygoing and relaxed, he also keeps his distance from the Underworld and those that populate it. It is far easier to revel in the love and joy of mortal beings than it is to seek out the woeful struggles faced by the dead.

Cyrus Nemati also voices Dionysus in Hades – a departure from the attitude he presents as Ares – in fact in many ways they are polar opposites.

Hermes (Andrew Marks)

Hermes (Andrew Marks)
Hermes (Andrew Marks)

Hermes is the God of many things, including commerce, travel, swiftness, and trickery – and on the side, he also serves as the messenger of the Gods and conductor of the souls into the afterlife… That is a lot on one guy’s plate! A son of Zeus and patron to all who may travel to and through the world of the Gods.

His sheer speed makes him an incredibly worthy messenger, able to cross vast distances in the blink of an eye. Of course, when we say that he serves the Gods, that does not mean just the Olympian variety – he also acts as a vital component to the Underworld, ingratiating himself with even Charon. A trickster indeed…

Andrew Marks voices Hermes in Hades – his sole role in a video game – as he provides Hermes with a relaxed demeanour, with the attitude like that of a young lad.

Demeter (Laila Berzins)

Demeter (Laila Berzins)
Demeter (Laila Berzins)
  • Demeter
  • Cold

The Goddess of Agriculture and Sacred Law, as well as the cycle of life and death – Demeter gives life and takes it away. She is the oldest among the Olympian Gods and brings about the turn of the seasons – the essence of life. While once a giver of plentiful crops and harvest, age has bittered the mysterious Goddess and now she gives nothing more than what is needed… oftentimes less than that.

Her descendance is not from Zeus, as she predates the King of Gods, she is born from Titans, the predecessor of the current pantheon. She is distant and reserved, with many whispers circling her among inner circles.

Laila Berzins is the Hades voice actor for Demeter. Laila is a talented voice actor with a long history of work in animation and video games, including Genshin ImpactThe Last of Us, and God of War.

Persephone (Laila Berzins)

Persephone (Laila Berzins)
Persephone (Laila Berzins)
  • Persephone
  • Cold

The Goddess of vegetation and daughter of the Olympian God, Demeter. Although she is more than just this, Persephone ruled as Queen of the Underworld, she also performed the role kindly.

Most notably, Persephone serves the role of Zagreus’ mother, who left for the world above – which eventually spurred on Zag’s desire to escape and find her. Her break from Hades was not particularly clean and hurt the God of the Underworld a great deal.

Persephone is played by the Hades voice actor Laila Berzins – another role in which she provides an outstanding performance.

Achilles (Logan Cunningham)

Achilles (Logan Cunningham)
Achilles (Logan Cunningham)
  • Achilles
  • Wise

A Demi-God hero of men, who rose to fame through his prowess in battle during the Trojan War. His ability to fight and survive made him a legend of his day – though he was eventually defeated by Trojan prince, Paris, who shot him through his heel and wounded him fatally. He found himself in the Underworld and was hired by Hades to train his son, Zagreus.

Achilles is not cruel to Zagreus; in many ways, he has always been a pillar of support for the prince. It is through Achilles that we learn of characters, as he is the writer and custodian of the Codex. He fully supports the player’s desire to escape the Underworld and offers constant advice when needed.

His Hades voice actor is also Logan Cunningham – A man of many, many characters

Patroclus (Ben Prendergast)

Patroclus (Ben Prendergast)
Patroclus (Ben Prendergast)
  • Patroclus
  • Defeated

The lifelong partner and lover of Achilles, Patroclus resides in Elysium thanks to the efforts of his partner. Patroclus lives in paradise, eternally, as his lover made a deal to have him sent there in exchange for his servitude. It’s difficult to learn about the full scope of his character from the codex, biased as it is.

Ben Prendergast is the Hades voice actor for Patroclus, he is also a fairly busy guy these days as he has played Fuse in Apex Legends, and The Nordic God of War in the upcoming sequel to Playstation’s God of War.

Theseus (Cyrus Nemati)

Theseus (Cyrus Nemati)
Theseus (Cyrus Nemati)
  • Theseus
  • Bold

A once-great hero and King of Athens, famed for his slaying of the Minotaur – hired by Hades to prevent Zag from escaping Elysium. Interestingly, Theseus persuaded the powers in the Underworld to allow Asterius to join him in Elysium. While some think that Asterius was forced into servitude, others believe that the battle between the two forged some unusual bond.

Cyrus Nemati also voices Theseus.

Asterius (Logan Cunningham)

Asterius (Logan Cunningham)
Asterius (Logan Cunningham)

The Minotaur slain by King Theseus; once enemies, now allies – the threads of fate weave a unique pattern indeed. Asterius fights alongside his comrade on the behest of Hades to stop Zagreus from achieving his goal to escape from the Underworld. The fame and glory of Asterius is intrinsically linked to Theseus – so he enjoys honour in death, as he resides in Elysium.

Logan Cunningham shows his amazingly varied abilities as he is the Hades voice actor for Asterius, too.

Cerberus (Company Doggos)

Cerberus (Company Doggos)
  • Solo; Higgins; Regis; Marzipan
Cerberus (Company Doggos)
  • Cerberus
  • Cute

The legendary guardian of the Underworld and despite the reputation for ferocity and rage – this multi-headed dog is honestly quite cute.

There is no human Hades voice actor for Cerberus. Cerberus’ sounds are provided by dogs from the development team. Solo, Higgins, Regis, and Marzipan provide these sounds – they are cute and well-behaved doggos. Who deserve treats.

Dusa (Courtney Vineys)

Dusa (Courtney Vineys)
  • Courtney Vineys
  • @CVineys
Dusa (Courtney Vineys)
  • Dusa
  • Quirky

A disembodied head of a Gorgon – yes, she is just a head – she is also the maid of the House of Hades, so she keeps busy ensuring the place is tidy and orderly. Although, she seems to self-impose this restriction upon herself as she has no interest in assistance in her chores.

Funnily enough, despite her existence as a mere head, Dusa is romanceable as Zagreus can grow closer to her overtime in romantic pursuit. Zagreus has the option to earn her favour by helping to renovate the House of Hades to meet the satisfaction of Nyx.

While she is chatty by nature, she is also seemingly secretive regarding the circumstances which led to the circumstances of her servitude. She finds pleasure in her work, which is fitting as there is always more to be done.

Courtney Vineys is the Hades voice actor for Dusa and provides the character with a delightful, dutiful demeanour.

Skelly (Darren Korb)

Skelly (Darren Korb)
Skelly (Darren Korb)

A Bloodless employed in the House of Hades serves as a training dummy so that players have the opportunity to test their might and skills. He only has any interaction with Achilles and Zagreus, as they train together – as he is killed, he is reborn, to be killed again. For many, this would be an unfavourable way to live, although, Skelly seems to enjoy the act of being beaten up repeatedly.

As a Bloodless, Skelly was once a mortal man left unburied, so he was bound to wander aimlessly, seeking combat for eternity. Although, he has a purpose through his contract with the House. He finds any opportunity to play pranks, yet he is unwilling to divulge any deeper personal history regarding himself – leaving him as somewhat enigmatic.

Darren Korb is also responsible for lending his voice to Skelly. His silly, ridiculous attitude is perfectly carried by Korb, a Hades voice actor extraordinaire.

Eurydice (Francesca Meaux / Ashley Barrett)

Eurydice (Francesca Meaux / Ashley Barrett)
Eurydice (Francesca Meaux / Ashley Barrett)
  • Eurydice
  • Casual

A deceased Oak Nymph of the forest and former partner to Orpheus, the musician. After her death at the bite of a snake, Eurydice was ferried to the Underworld to remain – although her love, Orpheus pleaded for her return to life. It was here that Hades offered him a deal, he may take Eurydice back with him to the mortal realm if he were to not look back at her until they arrived.

Ultimately, he failed and she was forced to remain and now resides in Asphodel, where she sings and cooks forevermore. Her relationship with Orpheus is a touchy subject, as she is now restrained from seeing him again – legally, there is a form and everything! Now she offers Zagreus a selection of delicious delicacies to move him along his journey.

Unlike other Hades voice actors, there are two voices for the role of Eurydice – the actor who provides her spoken words and the other who sings as her. Francesca Meaux is the speaking voice actor; Ashley Barrett is a singer/songwriter and provides the singing voice-over.

Orpheus (Michael Ailshie / Darren Korb)

Orpheus (Michael Ailshie / Darren Korb)

Orpheus (Michael Ailshie / Darren Korb)
  • Orpheus
  • Sad

The legendary musician… well, once upon a time, that word may describe him. But since Orpheus lost his love, his will for melody has since dissipated; his muse has been lost as a consequence of his own failure. This refusal to sing caused him to be confined in solidarity by the Lord Hades.

Zagreus can have various interactions with Orpheus and have him freed to the House of Hades – where the player may attempt to reunite the two lovers once more. Michael Ailshie is the Hades voice actor for the speaking variant of Orpheus – although when the character calls upon any semblance of his musical talents, Darren Korb takes over as the singing voice actor.

Sisyphus (Andrew Marks)

Sisyphus (Andrew Marks)
Sisyphus (Andrew Marks)
  • Sisyphus
  • Sad

A former king of mortal men, sentenced to an eternity of punishment within Tartarus itself for his attempts in cheating death. He was successful in these efforts two times over, although as with every great story, the consequences caught up with him eventually.

Sisyphus is forced to eternally roll a ginormous boulder up a hill – which shall inevitably roll back down despite his best efforts. He is subject to constant punishment from the Furies, especially Meg.

Funnily enough, even though he is constantly subject to brutal punishment, he remains composed and relaxed in the face of it. He even treats his boulder as a friend, in it with him for the long haul.

Andrew Marks is also the Hades voice actor of this friendly giant.
