More about voice actors for children’s education
If you have a lot of content to record i.e. thousands of words. Working with a child actor can be problematic. It’s usually more cost-effective to record instead with an adult actor impersonating a child’s voice. Female voice actors are particularly adept at sounding like pre-pubescent boys and young girls. Adult male actors have a naturally deeper register, and it’s more difficult for men to sound younger and still sound natural. We can do some magic edit with their voice over in post production but it will only increase the pitch by a semi-tone or so.
Of course the above is only of concern if you need a child voice over for your children’s education project. And if you do want an authentic child voice we recommend keeping the content as short as possible.
We frequently voice educational projects for publishers in the tens of thousands of words and the voice actors we work with have the vocal stamina and consistency to achieve this in a short time-frame. This keeps your project on budget.
Whether you need voice over for educational VR app, animation or class teaching aid, please contact us for auditions. We also frequently voice children’s narration and audiobooks.
